The reasoning against using colors and gradients was valid, when The printing costs for 4 color process was costly. Today, Online branding has become a major factor and most company logos are seen on websites much more than on prints. Full color logos with gradients look great on screen and designers should benefit from this new trend in logo designs.
We do not have to limit our designs to 2 colors flat logos . The b&w test remains valid to evaluate the concept of the logo and the 3d gradient effects should only come to support this concept.

Logo Without it's B/W interpretation is not a good logo. many of these logos fail at that basic requirement.

... this type of shapes (made using curves, circles, rectangles etc ) is very repetitive ...
so to all designers, dont use them to create shapes and think its a new ones!

some of these logos are fantastic, but I have to say that most of them are lacking. My favorite out if all of them would have to be 25 fenix by fenix.
