4 Wooden architecture masterpieces
Over the last 30 years, the use of wood has considerably decreased in building as structural and cladding material. In the artificiality surrounding our lives today, our minds are calmed and senses rejoiced by the connection with nature that wood provides. For architects, the use of wood requires an understanding of how it behaves and the recognition and acceptance of its special properties. The design of a good wooden building remains a great challenge.
